Just got out of hospital, so I’ve got plenty of time, here goes; I had been asked to play for “Forever Plaid” at the Little Theater, but I hadn’t played String Bass for 25 years or so, so I was plunking away on stage before dress rehearsal (Just like falling off a bike-ya never forget!)
In the audience were a bunch of the Junior Guilders, kids that were interested in theater stuff. In the second row was a little girl, just sitting there watching me. The most amazing feature were her large green eyes. She looked like any other kid. I just nodded to her & went on with my practicing. A few seconds later, I looked again & she was gone. Since there were kids running all over, I thought she went off with them & didn’t think anything else of it, until a few days later.
Some friends of mine were at my apartment, one of them being _____, the guy who builds the sets at the Little Theater. He was telling of 2 times he was working late at the Little Theater after everyone had left & everything was locked down, when he would look up and see a little girl watching him. The first time he asked where her parents were, she said they were around somewhere, then turned & ran out. When ________ followed, she had gone. The second time, he was painting, when he heard someone ask him if he was going to work on the next show. He looked up to find the same little girl. He said he was, then got up to go towards her. She turned & ran off towards the hallway that runs from the lobby to the stage. When he turned the corner she was gone… & there was no where she could have disappeared to so fast. When he described her, he said she was wearing a pink sweater blouse, jeans… & had the biggest green eyes he had seen. I nearly dropped my jaw, for that was the description of the girl I had seen that one night myself. Needless to say, I was shocked, for I really never believed in that type of thing before… until then.
